Our vineyard is situated on north-facing terraces at the head of the Bannockburn inlet of Lake Dunston, near Cromwell. Its special micro climate allows natural protection from both frosts and cold southerly winds and hence permits extra ripening from the late autumn sun. Bannockburn’s natural advantages, not to mention natural beauty, make it the most sought after grape growing region in Otago; consistently producing Pinot Noir that excites and amazes the world of fine wine.
Hand crafted from our 5 hectare vineyard, the wine is garnet in colour with heady aromas of dawson cherry, blackberry, sweet spice forest floor and a touch of dried herbs. The palate is full and round with ripe flavours of black doris plum, cassis, underpinned with earthy, dusty notes. Silky tannins finish off this beautifully balanced, powerful structured wine.
